The project
The tracker began with incidents dated February 28, 2026, the earliest date in the dataset and the publication date used for the tracker’s structured metadata. It brings a map, short incident summaries, casualty figures, coordinate notes and source links into one public reference. It is independently maintained by a single maintainer and is not affiliated with a government, news organization, research institution or advocacy group.
The project organizes public reporting; it does not conduct original reporting or claim on-the-ground verification. Its methodology page explains the inclusion threshold, source hierarchy, confidence values and deliberate generalization of sensitive locations.
