Report an error
A useful correction report identifies the incident ID or title, explains the disputed field, links to supporting public evidence and states the requested change. Please distinguish a factual error from a later source revision or a difference in terminology.
Use the contact address on the About page. A public address has not yet been configured, so reports cannot currently be accepted through the site; the owner can enable this route by filling in the site contact setting.
Do not include private personal information, precise residential coordinates or other sensitive material in a report.
How reports are reviewed
A reported error is checked against the primary and backup sources cited on the incident, then against any newer authoritative statement relevant to the disputed fact. A request is not accepted solely because it is repeated elsewhere; the published source basis must support the correction.
When the evidence warrants a change, the record is updated in place so the map and both dataset formats remain aligned, and the change is noted in the corrections log on this page. If a source has revised a casualty figure, the incident is updated to the most recent authoritative revision available. Totals may consequently change without a new incident being added.
